Level 10–30 (Feral Combat first)
- Savage Fury (2/2) — mangle damage
- Thick Hide (3/3) — armor, survivability
- Feral Instinct (3/3) — threat while tanking + AoE
- Feral Swiftness (2/2) — 30% run speed outdoors = leveling speed 🏃
- Feral Aggression (5/5) — Ferocious Bite damage
- Sharpened Claws (3/3)
Level 30–50
- Shredding Attacks (2/2)
- Predatory Strikes (3/3) — AP from weapon… wait, from stats
- Primal Precision (2/2) — expertise + combo points (cat QoL)
- Primal Tenacity — reduced stun/fear (nice for solo)
- Heart of the Wild (5/5) — stamina in bear, AP in cat
- Survival Instincts (1/1) — big panic button
Level 50–70 (the good stuff)
- Leader of the Pack (1/1) — crit aura, mana for you via Primal Wisdom later
- Improved Leader of the Pack (2/2) — self-healing on crits — huge solo sustain
- Primal Fury (2/2) — extra combo points/rage
- Naturalist (5/5) — 10% physical damage
- Omen of Clarity (1/1) — free abilities proc
- King of the Jungle (3/3)
Level 70–80 (finish the tree)
- Rend and Tear (5/5)
- Predatory Instincts (5/5)
- Mangle (1/1) — your core button
- Then spend remaining points: Restoration tree → Natural Shapeshifter (2/2), Naturalist already have… go Furor (5/5) for rage/energy on shapeshift + Improved Mark of the Wild
Late-game tweaks: At 80 with dual spec, respect Bear tank (grab Survival of the Fittest 3/3 — 6% stats + crit reduction, mandatory) as one spec and Cat DPS as the other — actually one Feral spec works for both in WotLK, so your second spec can be Resto for dungeon queues or Balance for dailies.
Leveling Rotation
Bear (AoE farming, 3+ mobs — this is the OP leveling trick):
- Pull 3–6 mobs with Firefly/moonfire or just run in
- Demoralizing Roar → Swipe spam
- Keep Savage Roar? No — bear: just Swipe, Lacerate occasionally, Maul procs
- Pop Barkskin + Survival Instincts if things get spicy
- Bear pulls 6+ mobs better than most AoE classes at leveling — chain-pull dungeons as tank too, instant queues
Cat (single target / questing):
- Prowl → Pounce/Ravage opener
- Keep Rip (bleed) up at 5 combo points
- Shred to build combo points
- Tiger's Fury on cooldown
- Ferocious Bite at 5 CP when Rip is active
- Omen of Clarity procs = free Shred
Form swap is the secret: pull big → bear swipe them down, or kill single targets in cat. Switch freely — Furor keeps your resources topped.
Gear While Leveling
- Stats: Agility > Stamina > Attack Power > Haste
- Weapon = EVERYTHING: feral scales off weapon DPS. Always grab the highest-DPS staff/polearm/mace you can (quests reward great ones)
- Don't worry about leather vs. cloth early — agility is agility
- At 70, get Idol of Tears/Perspicacious Intentions if possible

Key ConsolePort Settings
- Enable "Easy Motion" cursor — flick the right stick to jump the cursor to UI elements
- Bind Form-swap on D-Pad — form swapping is your #1 used mechanic; make it instant
- Set A to "interact/target" and use RB+stick flick for enemy targeting (ConsolePort's target cycling)
- Turn on sticky targeting for tanking — you rarely need to manually target, just face the boss
- Override A button for "Jump + Interact" — I recommend keeping jump on a shoulder button (like L3-click or LB+RB together) since you'll jump a lot
- Movement: left stick, obviously. Enable "click-to-move" as backup cursor movement

Recommended addons to pair: Power Auras for Omen of Clarity proc flash (you'll miss procs on controller otherwise) and Totem Timers-equivalent Druid Bar for mana tracking, plus DBM for raid cooldown reminders.
